Wilks. Also in attendance were Trustee Paul Hoefert, Village Manager Michael E. Janonis and Fire Chief Edward M. Cavello. Visiting with council members was Patrick Creen of 1015 Church St, telephone 956-1518, Mr. Creen's chief complaint referred to Linneman Road; specifically the potholes and general disrepair in this section of the road north of Dempster. Mr. Janonis explained that the Village does not have control of the streets. In this area, the homeowners property line extends out to the centerline of the road. Mr. Janonis further explained that this situation has existed for quite some time and the project represents a significant cost factor. Trustee Wilks asked Mr. Janonis to check with Public Works Director, Herb Weeks to determine if anything can be done. Mr. Green also questioned the lack of median strip access to Na-Wa- Ta from Golf Road. It was explained that quite likely this was done intentionally to limit vehicular traffic in a residential area and that it was probably a blessing. Mr. Creen was also informed that Golf Road is a state route and they have jurisdiction. Finally, Mr. Creen offered his comments on the Hooters Restaurant issue. He felt that the people ought to decide whether a business will be successful. He likened the situation to the Big Kahuna Restaurant in Arlington Heights. He stated that he would not patronize Hooters, but thought individuals should have that option. He stated he does not see the establishment as a problem even though Hooters is not a family restaurant. The meeting was concluded at noon. Edwwa d'Id! Cavello Fire Chief
