Minutes
Assistant Village Manager Hedges explained that Mayor Krause would
be unable to attend the meeting.
The meeting began at 7:30 PM.
Present were Commissioners Bachhuber, Brandeis, Davies, Holderried, -
Holloway, Pekras and Smilanic.
Also present was Assistant Village Manager Hedges and Director of
Management Services Hedstrom.
A general discussion took place regarding the Village's Property and
Casualty Insurance program beginning January 1, 1984 and covered
(1) remaining a member of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency
(2) assuming a self-insured program and (3) using conventional insurance.
After discussion, Commissioner Holloway made the motion, seconded by
Commissioner Bachhuber, to recommend to the Mayor and Village'Board
that the Village assume a self-insured program effective January 1, 1984.
Roll Call -Ayes - 7 Nays - 0
Unanimous
Commissioner Holloway then made the motion, seconded by Commissioner
Davies that Village staff attempt to secure insurance premium quotations
for aggregate stop loss amounts of $300,000, $350,000 and $400,000.
Roll Call Ay -s - 7 Nays - 0
Unanimous
Commissioners agreed to meet again after Village staff has secured
quotations.
Meeting adjourned 8:25 PM.
