A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
AND GENERAL RELEASE BETWEEN MONTI & ASSOCIATES ELK GROVE
TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT
ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR AND THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, Monti & Associates, (Plaintiff) the Elk Grove Township Highway
Commissioner, Elk Grove Township Road District, Elk Grove Township, (collectively the
Elk Grove Defendants), Village of Mount Prospect Public Works Director and the Village of
Mount Prospect (collectively the Village Defendants) are desirous of entering into a
Settlement Agreement and General Release; and
WHEREAS, the Settlement Agreement and General Release being the subject of this
Resolution provides for the full and final compromise, settlement and release of the
Lawsuit relating to the maintenance and repair of a section of Addison Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: The Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby
authorize the Village President and Public Works Director to sign the Settlement
Agreement and General Release, a copy of which is attached hereto and hereby made a
part hereof as Exhibit "A".
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
