Meeting Minutes
Location:
Mount Prospect Public Library, Room 130

I.Call to Order: by Chairman Skip Farley at 5:35 p.m.
II.Roll Call: Skip Farley, John Eilering, Paula Randant,, Mayor Arlene A. Juracek and Georgia Mitchell were in
attendance.
III.Approval of Minutes: Minutes of August 3, 2015: the minutes were approved and seconded. Citizens to be
Heard: none
IV.Old Business:
A.Paula Randant and Mayor Juracek discussed information from the International Sister City organization
regarding the influx of Syrian refugees into Germany, the fact that there is a great deal the cities are facing
and that there is little opportunity to work on possible twinning at this time. This does not mean that the
desire for a German Sister City will be abandoned, but it is best at this time the search will be suspended.
VI.New Business:
A.The Committee will temporarily table the search for a German Sister City until the situation in Germany
has settled.
VII. Future meetings will be called when needed.
