ORDINANCE NO. 6214
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPER 6, "TELECOMMUNICATIONS CODE," OF
THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: Delete Section 6.104, "Registration," of Article I, "General," of
Chapter 6, "Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village Code in its
entirety.
SECTION 2: Delete Section 6.105, "Telecommunications License," of Article I,
"General," of Chapter 6, "Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village
Code in its entirety.
SECTION : Delete Section 6.106, "Telecommunications Franchise," of Article I,
"General," of Chapter 6, "Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village
Code in its entirety.
SECTION 4: Section 6.107, "Cable Television Franchise," of Article 1, "General,"
of Chapter 6, Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be
amended to be and read as follows:
Except as otherwise provided herein, any telecommunications carriers
who desire to construct, install, operate, maintain or locate
telecommunications facilities in any public way of the village for the
purpose of providing cable service to persons in the village shall first
obtain a cable franchise from the village as provided in Article V of this
chapter, or from the State of Illinois."
SECTION 5: Delete Article II, "Registration of Telecommunications Carriers and
Providers," of Chapter 6, "Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village
Code in its entirety.

SECTION 6: Delete Article IV, "Telecommunications Franchise," of Chapter 6,
"Telecommunications Code," of the Mount Prospect Village Code in its entirety.
SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
