HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 38-15 12/01/2015 Setting a Public Hearing for Annexation Agreement with Illinois Toll Highway AuthorityRevised Dece. _er 1, 2015 RESOLUTION NO. 38-15 A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ANNEXATION AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS STATE TOLL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY Preamble WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect intend to consider, for execution, an Annexation Agreement with the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority for the annexation of the following legally described property: THE NORTHEASTERLY 44.50 FEET (MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES) OF THE ILLINOIS TOLL HIGHWAY (1-90) RIGHT OF WAY BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY THE SOUTHERLY PROLONGATION OF THE WEST LINE OF LAKE BRIARWOOD UNIT NO.2 RECORDED JANUARY 27, 1961 AS DOCUMENT NO. 18072302 AND BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THE SOUTHERLY PROLONGATION OF THE EAST LINE OF THE COMMONWEALTH EDISON RIGHT OF WAY, AS ANNEXED TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AUGUST 1, 1963 PER DOCUMENT NO. 18871122, ALL IN THE WEST HALF OF SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Code at 65 ILCS 5/11-15.1-1 et. seq., a public hearing must be held on the contents of the Annexation Agreement prior to its adoption; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, ACTING PURSUANT TO ITS HOME RULE POWER, RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That a duly noticed public hearing shall be held on January 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Village Hall at 50 S. Emerson, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 to receive comment on the proposed Annexation Agreement. SECTION 2: A copy of the proposed Annexation Agreement shall be available on the Website of the Village of Mount Prospect and a copy shall be made available, prior to the public hearing at the office of the Mount Prospect Village Clerk.
