SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 30, 1991
The following Commission members were present for the Special Meeting,
Bill Donovan and George Luteri. Mary Winkler arrived at 8:25PM.
Public Works staff Glen Andler and Lisa Angell were present, as well
as, Village residents Harold and Doris Rentschler.
The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair George Luteri at
7:39 PM. However, due to lack of a quorum no official meeting was
held, but there was open discussion on the following topics.
Mr. Andler updated the Commission members on the status of the solid
waste collection schedule. The Village Manager does want a guarantee
from ARC that the routing schedule will be the same during the term of
the contract. Public Works s-:.. f will be meeting with ARC May 31 to
discuss further details of collection schedule.
The Commission members commented on revisions to the educational
materials and Mayor's letter. The material will now be forwarded to
the Mayor for his review and comments. There was also a brief
discussion on the design of the yard/refuse stickers and recycling bin
decals.
Mr. Donovan shared feedback he received regarding the Village's
approval for a Solid Waste Coordinator. He suggested something be put
in the Village newsletter explaining the position. Mr. Andler stated
this would probably be done once the position was filled.
Their was also discussion on the Board's approval for the Commission's
name change to Mount Prospect Solid Waste Commission.
