MEETING MINUTES
MAY 28, 1992
PRESENT: Elizabeth Herbert, Holly Tabbert-Johnson, George
Luteri, Carl Maas, Harold Rentschler, Ken Westlake and
Mary Winkler.

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order my Chairman
Westlake at 7:40 PM.
WHITE GOODS DISPOSAL MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATION:
The question was raised regarding the removal of doors from
large appliances set at the curb for collection. Apparently the
company ARC would be working with requests that rather than
removing doors the appliance be laid door down on the parkway.
The Commission wondered if this was acceptable or if local
and/or state laws required doors to be removed or tied down as a
safety precaution.
The Coordinator stated she did not know but would research this
issue.
Revisions to the drafted recommendation were made by the Commis-
sioners. Chairman Westlake proposed the revised recommendation
be accepted without further review by the Commission. Although
it was moved seconded and unanimously approved to accept the
revised recommendation it was suggested the recommendation be
mailed to the Commissioners for final review. The Solid Waste
Coordinator stated she would make the revisions and mail copies
to the Commission on Friday, May 29.
ADJOURN:
There being no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at
8:40 PM.
