CREATION OF CLASS F-3 LIQUOR LICENSE
On Tuesday, February 17, the Administrative Assistant to the Village Manager met with
Mr. Bojan Bojanovic and his mother Ms. Draga Bojanovic regarding his request for the
creation of a new Class F-3 Liquor License. The Class F-3 Liquor License provides for
the sale of alcoholic beverages at a restaurant with a lounge. Mr. Bojanovic is the
President and 100% shareholder of Balkan Taste Inc.
The applicant has submitted plans for the interior build out of the premises. The total
building square footage is 2,000 square feet with an estimated 25 seats inside and a
small bar area. Mr. Bojanovic indicated that he does not have any previous experience
either running a restaurant or serving alcohol in a restaurant setting. This restaurant will
be an "American" dream for him to serve Serbian style food from his native land.
Mr. Bojanovic plans to act as the full-time manager of the restaurant and has
successfully completed a certified Liquor Servers program and holds a certified Food
Service Manager's certificate. Ms. Bojanovic will be the head chef of the restaurant
specializing in traditional Balkan soups, stew dishes and pastries. The interior decor will
be bright and colorful with all new equipment and furniture. Breakfast and lunch menus
will be offered initially with operations occurring Monday through Friday 8:00-6:00 p.m.
and Saturday 8:00-1:00 p.m. Sundays will be closed except for private parties. A late
March opening is anticipated.
Ms. Jarosz discussed at length the Village's particular sensitivity to the sale of alcohol to
minors or clearly intoxicated persons. The requirements of the Village's Fight Ordinance
and the need for all employees involved in the delivery of alcohol to complete a certified
liquor servers training course were also discussed. Mr. Bojanovic indicated that he had
read the Village Liquor Code and understood the requirements of same
A completed application as well as all other required documentation is on file. If the
Village Board views this application favorably, an Ordinance creating a new Class '74'
License would be recommended for adoption.

VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE
POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor
Licenses available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor
increasing the number of Class -3Liquor
Licenses authorized. Said list is hereby amended
