Published by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 17`h day of February, 2015. RESOLUTION NO. 01-15 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO CLOSE MOUNT PROSPECT SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER 1 AND SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER 6 WHEREAS,the Village of Mount Prospect in exercise of its home rule authority and pursuant to the provisions of the Ill. Rev. Stat., Ch. 120, § 1301, et se ., an "Act To Provide The Manner Of Levying Or Imposing Taxes For The Provision Of Special Services To Areas Within The Boundaries Of Home Rule Units and Non-Home Rule Municipalities And Counties," created Special Service Area Number 1 by Ordinance No. 2912 in 1979 (see Exhibit A)and Special Service Area Number 6 by Ordinance No. 3766 in 1987 (see Exhibit B); and WHEREAS,the purposes for which Special Service Area Number 1 and Special Service Area Number 6 were created have been fulfilled; and WHEREAS, all the financial obligations incurred by the Village that were met by funds raised through Special Service Area Number 1 and Special Service Area Number 6 have been satisfied; and WHEREAS,the Village finds no reason to continue to maintain and administer Special Service Area Number 1 and Special Service Area Number 6. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, ACTING PURSUANT TO ITS HOME RULE POWERS: SECTION 1: That the Village Board of Trustees close Special Service Area Number 1 and Special Service Area Number 6 as soon as reasonable to do so. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
