CALL TO ORDER Murphy called meeting to order at 3:04 pm. II. ROLL CALL Present: Sharon Anderson, Alexander Bertolucci, Gerald "Skip" Farley, Janice Farley, Leo Floros, Linda Hoefert, Jean Murphy, Michaele Skowron, Christy Watychowicz, John Zulaski Members Absent: Dale Henricksen, Patrick Mogge Ex-officio Members Present: Mayor Arlene A. Juracek Ex-officio Members Absent: none Additional Village staff members present: Public Works Director Sean Dorsey Citizens: none III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES September 6, 2017 Meeting Minutes: Anderson moved. Murphy seconded. Motion approved. III. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD none IV. OLD BUSINESS A. Report: Webs ite/Facebook update and plans for after Centennial - Lindsay Rice Murphy reported that Rice has one more Daily Herald story. Centennial website data will transfer to MP Historical Society over time and be completed by end of 2017. Google calendar will continue. B. Report: Time capsule report—Jean Murphy, Mike Skowron, Sharon Anderson Three commission members listed all items, packed them in archival bags, numbered the bags to tie to typed list, and packed bags into 100th capsule. The following items will be added: onesie, pin, copies of 3 photo posters. On Friday, September 15, 2017, Murphy & Skowron repacked 50th and 75th time capsule items in archival bags into 50th/75th time capsule. Capsule has already been buried in anticipation of 100th capsule burial on Saturday, October 14, 2017. C. Report: Memorials and time capsule burial plans — Mayor Arlene Juracek, Sean Dorsey Murphy contacted Mike Zarnek to take photos at burial. He will get back to Murphy. Murphy crafted a program for burial ceremony. On stage: Village Board, Sevres, France Sister City delegation, Centennial co-chairs. Centennial members asked to be at site at 10:45 a.m. Page 1 of 2 D. Report: Centennial store inventory—sell at Oct. 14 event— also at tree lighting? — Sharon Anderson Items were on sale at Farmers Market, Sunday, September 10, 2017. Items will be for sale at burial. Anderson & Skowron will arrive at 10:30 a.m. to set up sale items. E. Daily Herald Ad Herald will give Centennial Commission an ad to thank sponsors in December 2017. F. Report: Mark your calendars — Tues, Nov. 7 —veteran talk @ library—7:30 p.m. Wed, Nov. 22—tree lighting Sun, Dec. 3 —Centennial Housewalk— noon —5:30 p.m. Pre 1917 houses will be featured. Tues, Feb. 6— Centennial wrap-up buffet and report to V. Board Invitees listed in September 6, 2017 meeting minutes. Additional invitees will be sponsors, Tim Buelow, logo designer from Harper, Neal Bradley, Mike Zarnek, and Tom Munz, G. Report: Sponsor signs in VH lobby—Jean Murphy Commission members will measure space and discuss sign format. Sign will be hung at end of 2017 and hang 6 to 12 months. It will be then be moved to another Village hall location. H. Auction limited activity on Auction. Watychowicz will design a "rack card" to promote "House Walk" on one side and Centennial Auction on the other side. V. NEW BUSINESS none VI. OTHER BUSINESS — member roundtable— additional ideas?
