II.ROLL CALL Members Present :Alexander Bertolucci, Gerald “Skip” Farley,Janice Farley, Leo Floros,Dale Henricksen, Jean Murphy, Michaele Skowron, Christy Watychowicz,John Zulaski Members Absent : Sharon Anderson, Linda Hoefert,Patrick Mogge,. Juracek,Marianthi Thanopoulos Ex-officio Members Absent: Additional Village staff members present : MPPublic Works DirectorSean Dorsey, Fire Dept Rep Jim Miller Citizens Present :NONE III.APPROVAL OF MINUTES October 5, 2016Meeting MinutesSkowronmoved. Watychowiczseconded. Motion passed. IV.CITIZENS TO BE HEARD NONE V.OLD BUSINESS A.Report: Websiteupdate–Lindsay Rice Rice sent report via Murphy that additions are added as received. B.Report: Additional website funds –Jean Murphy $3,000 of 2017 funds brought forward to 2016. C.Report: Education –Patrick Mogge, John Zulaski Robert Frost South approached Mayor Juracek. School constructed a centennial plaque that will bededicated Dec. 16 at 1:30 pm at an all school assembly.Zulaski will send email to all schools and remind that to send articles and photos to website. Arbor Day tree will be planted in front of Historical Society. Bertolucci joined meeting at 3:20 pm. D.Report: Anniversary weekend plans –Mayor Arlene Juracek, Lindsay Rice Re- enactment will take placeon Feb. 3, 2017. Invitations will be sent out after holidays. MP Lions will provide hot chocolate and cookies. MP Chamber is working w/local restaurants to stay open fordinner. Memorial plaques .Founding families’ repswill present underwriting checks at November Village Board Meeting. Floros moved to spend $5,000 for 9 minutes of fireworks. Skip Farley seconded. Motion passed. E.Report: Sponsorshipsupdate–Skip Farley, Leo Floros, Christy Watychowicz $60,000 has been collected so far. $2,000 still promised. New banner will be made to includenew sponsors. F.Report: Fire hydrantvoting–Christy Watychowicz Watychowicz sharedpaper copies of the 67 painted hydrants.2hydants are pendingand1 won’t be painted. There were articlesin the Historical Society newsletter and MP Library newsletter. Presentation of the winning hydrant will take place on Dec. 6, 2017 at Village Board Meeting. Hydrant sponsor will be present Watychowicz will work w/village on details for January Village newsletter to announce continuation ofhydrant painting. Nocontest-bragging rights.Photosof newly painted hydrantswill be on Face Book. G.Report:Merchandise sales update –Sharon Anderson, Jean Murphy Only 40 yard signs left to sell. H.Report: Church input update –Jean Murphy We have heard from 5 of the 25 congregations in townwith descriptions and photos of stained glass windows. I.Report: Embracing our Differencesevents–John Zulaski, Alex Bertolucci The suggestion was made to ask the non profits/service providersto our diverse community to report on theirservices on theCentennial website. NEWBUSINESS A. Volunteers needed for Christkindlmarket –Nov. 23 evening 4pmto 7pmin Community Room. Skip Farley, Skowron, and Watychowiczvolunteered. B. Streetlight banners to be placed –Nov. 9 VI.OTHER BUSINESS–member roundtable–additional ideas? Comments? Public Works will obtain a quote for historical homes’ signs. Celestial Celebration Dinner vocalistwill work with ProspectHigh Schooljazz group to provide entertainment. Interfaith Council is looking for acongregation to host interfaith meeting. We will include Randhurst Village banner for time capsule. We will schedule timeon future agendato discuss timecapsule items. Murphy investigated stained glass ornament.
