MOUNT PROSPECT FOREIGN FIRE TAX BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Meeting called to order at 0830
Officer’s Report
Chairman-Collection letters are at the printer’s.
Treasurer-$256,097.85 in the bank
Secretary-Approval of minutes from the meeting on February 26, 2015.

Novak-Lights have been installed and completed.
New Business
Schwegler
-Proposed to have hoses tested by National Hose Testing Specialists.
They perform 100% of the work in 1.5 days. This will free up training timeas well as
reduce wear and tear on our engines. Additionally, the documentation provided can be
put into Fire House.
Station 14 is a good location for testing to be conducted.It should be noted that they do
not test the nozzles.Price is .26 per foot, which equates to $4069, and we will have
results in 30 days.
Lt. Buffalo asked if the price was guaranteed for several years. It should be noted that
multi-year contracts are available.
The plan is not to have the FFTB pay for this each year, just initially. If we want to
continue to use this service, we would need to budget for it beginning in 2017. The
FFTB would pay for this on a trial basis of 1-2 years.

-(Presented by T. Novak) proposed the purchase a floor scrubber for Station
12. Currently, they are the only station without a scrubber. He is looking to purchase
the same brand/model as other stations utilize, along with the same maintenance plan.
